This Valentine’s Opera Dinner brings world-class voices into an intimate garden setting, curated especially for a night of romance, emotion and connection.

Deborah Humble – Mezzo-Soprano

Deborah Humble is one of Australia’s most internationally respected mezzo-sopranos. Her distinguished career includes major performances throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia, with long-standing engagements at Opera Australia and the Hamburg State Opera. Renowned for the richness, power and dramatic depth of her voice, Deborah is celebrated for her commanding stage presence and expressive storytelling. Experiencing an artist of her calibre in such an intimate setting is a rare opportunity.

Julie Lea Goodwin – Soprano

Julie Lea Goodwin has gained wide recognition across Australia for her sparkling lyric soprano voice. She is a regular guest with Opera Australia and has featured in numerous productions around the country, including Maria in West Side Story, Musetta in La bohème, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Christine in The Phantom of the Opera and the title role in The Merry Widow. Julie is admired for her warmth, versatility and ability to connect deeply with audiences, making her a perfect choice for a romantic Valentine’s evening.

Sharolyn Kimmorley AM – Piano

Sharolyn Kimmorley AM is one of Australia’s most respected pianists, accompanists and vocal mentors. Her distinguished career spans decades with Opera Australia, where she worked closely with many of the nation’s finest singers. She has recorded extensively for ABC Classics and was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for her contribution to music and mentorship.

Curated by Deborah Humble and Julie Lea Goodwin especially for Valentine’s Night, the programme features a beautiful mix of beloved opera, musical theatre favourites and romantic duets — accessible, emotional and instantly recognisable.
