ROSEMARY VALADON EXHIBITION

The Oriana Orange is delighted to announce the launch of an outstanding exhibition of paintings by the multi-award winning artist, Rosemary Valadon. Rosemary Valadon: Winter Still Life, 2015 Oil on Canvas, 152 x 274 cm (3 panels) Working closely with the artist, renowned curator Gavin Wilson, who recently curated Interiors at the Orange Regional Gallery,  has selected works that reflect Rosemary Valadon’s deep immersion in the rhythms of life at her home in Hill End.  The suite of beautifully observed still life paintings will bewitch and enthral the patrons of Oriana’s newly opened restaurant ‘The Peacock Room’. Rosemary Valadon is an award winning Australian artist (the Blake Religious Art Prize, Portia Geach Portrait Prize, Muswellbrook Art Prize, amongst others). She is a regular finalist in the Archibald, Sulman, Blake, Portia Geach and Mosman prizes. Her career spans 35 years. Survey exhibitions of her work have been held at the Macquarie University Gallery, the Manning Regional Art Gallery, Taree, in 2006 and 2007, Bathurst Regional Art Gallery in 2016 and at the Maitland  Regional Art Gallery in 2018/19. Valadon is represented in major Australian collections including BHP Billiton, National Portrait Gallery, Uniting Church, Macquarie University Gallery, Bathurst and Muswellbrook Regional Galleries, Art Bank, and private collections in Australia and overseas. THE ORIANA, ORANGE EARNS 2018 TRIPADVISOR CERTIFICATE OF EXCELLENCE

The Oriana, Orange has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. Now in its eighth year, the achievement celebrates businesses that have earned great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, restaurants and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience. “TripAdvisor is excited to announce the recipients of the 2018 Certificate of Excellence, which celebrates businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor. “This recognition allows us to publicly honour businesses that are actively engaging with customers and using feedback to help travellers identify and confidently book the perfect trip.” The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

Fly Corporate announces direct flights between Orange and Melbourne

We’re very excited to learn about Fly Corporate’s new weekday flights between Orange and Melbourne, starting 9 October. This means that there will soon be several daily direct Regional Express flights between Orange and Sydney, as well as five direct Fly Corporate flights a week between Orange and each of Melbourne and Brisbane.
