We’re proud to showcase each month, at our restaurant, a winery from the Orange region and nearby. Here, for the months of October & November 2017, is a delicious selection from Philip Shaw.
Philip Shaw spent years investigating and exploring many potential wine producing regions in Australia, until by accident he noticed the undulating countryside when flying over the Orange area. After a few days of intense research he returned the next week to find that the region had a near-perfect balance of elevation and sunshine. In June 1988 he purchased the land for the Koomooloo vineyard, in close proximity to the area’s highest peak, Mount Canobolas. Koomooloo vineyard rises to an altitude of 900M with red loam soils over limestone.
